Why is receiving instructions akin to shining a bright light on your problem? When you have problems or get stuck, you cannot see well. You are 'in the dark.' This expression, 'in the dark,' means you have no idea how to overcome your obstructions and problems. You have a big problem right here, but you don't know what to do. Instructions shine a light upon you, helping you see clearer. A Master can see the problem, so he shines his light of wisdom on you so that you can see better and, hopefully, know how to fix it. Instructions will be given to you when the timing is ideal. You just have to survive. You have to stick around long enough so that you deserve the instruction—deserve the light being shone upon you. That's why it is much tougher in our lineage. You have to tough it out instead of running away.
