You might even feel like you have more thoughts than before and wonder, "How can this help me experience Emptiness?" The secret is simple: You must not quit too soon. We ask you to close your eyes and sit still so that physically, you have nothing to do. When your body is still, your mind—the only thing left moving—eventually gets bored of its own thinking. If you stay with your technique—whether it's breathing, concentration, or mindfulness—and give it enough time, your mind will naturally settle down. There is no magic to it; you just need to practice often and long enough using the proper technique. As you still your body, your mind will follow.
