What is attachment to self?
It is thinking, “What’s in it for me? Is this to my advantage or not?”
That is attachment to self.
Even when you are practicing at our temple, you May still be calculating for yourself:
“What’s in it for me? I don’t like it. It’s not to my advantage. It doesn’t benefit me.”
If that is your mindset, you still have no wisdom.
Unless you change, follow instructions properly, and stop insisting on doing things your own way, you will not open your wisdom.
