We must look at ourselves. It is not about looking at external objects. No matter what you study or what Dharma practice you cultivate, if you want to achieve a major breakthrough, you must look at yourself. It is that simple. If you want to progress quickly, look within. Most people constantly look outward. But in cultivation, we must look inward. Why? Because we are trying to see our Buddha Nature. Looking within is the fastest way to open your inner wisdom. Looking outward, on the other hand, makes it much harder to open your wisdom quickly or easily.
