It's not a proper mindset for the practice, for training. I would not want to train you along those lines of earnestly, of desperation. I'd rather teach you about recite harder and recite out of gratitude. There's so many teachers who made a lot of sacrifices to bring you this Dharma door to help you attain rebirth of the Pure Land. The best possible outcome in this lifetime for all of you, any of you. If that's the case, such a lofty, such a wonderful thing, such a desirable thing, why would you be desperate? If that's the case, you really believe that, shouldn't be shouldn't you be grateful to have encountered such a Dharma that you can take care of yourself, take care of your loved ones who cannot help themselves. So, to me, the cons these concepts, they bother me. It's inferior thinking.
