Because why do you have to be respectful? You have a problem respecting some others—some other people—because you feel that they're not that smart. They're not... you know, they're not qualified, but you still are respectful. Why is that? **You're respecting their Buddha nature.** You have to learn to look beyond their appearances. Each one of us, according to the Buddha's teaching, have a Buddha nature. You should be respectful towards everyone for that reason. That's why I tried to tell you... we are not teaching—especially our youngsters—about being respectful, about respecting others. And that's very, very Buddhist. You respect everyone because in each and every one of you... there's a Buddha nature.
