Single-mindedness only means that your mind thinks of one thing only the the which is very different from mindfulness. Mindfulness is you mindful of what you're doing. Okay. So it's scatteredness if you will. I'm mindful of touching this. Now I'm mindful of talking. I'm mindful of looking. and mindful of smelling and so forth. Okay? And that's if you do if you do that, you're still mindful, but from a ch pure chan perspective is called being scattered because our mind jumps from here to here to here to here to there and so forth. That's scatteredness. And that's not what we want when you meditate.
Meditate is you bring all that you drop all that distraction and focus only one thing whether it's bowing okay your mind should be focusing on only the motion the movement your mind say okay my mind I'm—I'm—I'm bowing I am bowing I am bowing okay at first you follow physically the body because the body is not used to it so your mind naturally processes it says oh first I need to lower my knees, bend, you know push my hip back and so forth and bend. So, at first mechanically, you have you have to to think about it. But once you get the mechanics right, then you no longer think about it.
Then you only think of one thing is to I'm bowing. I'm bowing. I'm bowing. One thought only. So that is meditation. As long as you mindful of chewing, you mindful of drinking, then you being encouraged to be scattered.
