Buddha said, "I wasted so much time in my life so that I now know the way, so I show you the way so that you know which way to go." I went to MBA school, work in corporate America, and was so proud saying, "Oh, management, a wonderful thing." But you know what we do in management? We muddle through. We muddle through our problems. All those big shots have basically BS-ing. They only lucky They lucky out a little bit, but they don't have the vision, don't have the sense of direction. This sense direction we're talking about, the sutures here, the wisdom here. It's lifetime after lifetime. That's what leads you, what stirs you, what pulls you in the right direction. It takes the wisdom to have that sense of direction. It's so fundamental, folks. Wisdom has to be valid over a very long span of time. That's how you differentiate between levels of wisdom. Hm? Human wisdom is at best one generation, Maybe two. Buddha wisdom, it's infinite because it will always be true for you. Who can make that claim? Hm? The wisest philosophers, the wisest gurus, wisest shamans can tell you, "Oh, I guarantee to you very successful life. We will you get what you want." Buddha says, "I guarantee you lifetime after lifetime. If I lie to you, you can shoot my disciples." You think I'm kidding? No, I'm not. Because if Buddha is lying, he would have no disciples left. >> [laughter] >> We shoot them all. I'll be the first one to shoot them. We give you the principles, and those principles are like the compass. A step further is something much more profound, that is these sutra lectures. The sutra lectures are one of the most profound things you can do for yourself because those are the compass for you lifetime after lifetime after lifetime. That's how powerful it is. Once you have all these seeds, these blessings, good things will happen to you down the road, for sure. It's a matter of time. Very much like planting a fruit tree. One day it's it's going to bear fruit. Even if you ignore it, eventually conditions merge, there'll be enough rain, there's enough good things, and then it starts bearing fruit naturally. And that's why we're doing this. It It seems like it's a waste of time, but it's not. Actually, it saves you time. It makes you a lot more efficient, gives you sense of direction. And by the way, it takes a lot of blessings for you to even to hear this. Never mind about believing. They're not going to make a lot of sense for you immediately, but you're going to plant blessings. These words are seeds that we plant into your field, your fertile field, your mind, and eventually it will sprout.
