#channel/bodhi-light-teachings ![The Buddhist Solution for Anger](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2DydwS3Zh4) How do you deal with anger when it arises? When we're angry, we need to release it. Otherwise, we go crazy. But the problem is most people take that internal pressure and then they dump it on someone, dump it on the children, dump it on the next person they encounter and so forth because they need to release their anger. Another form of release ordinary people is they take a drink or they distract themselves. go play a video game. But distract you temporarily but the seed of anger is still there. It will explode bigger next time and you make the problem worse by blaming the other person. Because  if you focus on why someone else is at fault and why your anger is justified, your anger will only snowball and grow. So the best long-term solution to dissipate your anger is to meditate whenever you become angry. So you cross your legs, look at your anger, and say, "Why am I so angry?" Now, as you do that more often, you find that you're able to dissipate your anger quicker and quicker and quicker.
