#channel/bodhi-light-teachings  When you look at kids, and their minds are like a white sheet of paper, and you see as they get older and they will go to school, they learn things, the sheet of paper becomes darker and becomes defiled. It's no longer pure. The same thing with our minds. Our enlightened minds is like a sheet of paper. And as we wander the various lifetimes, we accrue all these defilements, and that's why we are no longer able to wield our wisdom. And so Chan, that the the Buddha taught, is a process of us purifying our minds so that we can go back to the state of enlightenment.
