It is also known as the Land of Ultimate Bliss. There is nowhere in the universe where you can experience a higher level of bliss than there. You cannot enjoy yourself more anywhere else. It is also known as “Peace and Bliss” (安樂). When you go there, you are safe. Here, it’s unsafe—you never know what will happen. There, the Buddha will never yell at you or harm you. You will be safe. There is another name: “Peace, Safety, and Nurturing” (An-Yang 安養). - An (安): peace, safety, and security - Yang (養): nurturing Nurturing means creating the proper conditions for you to grow and develop—not just feeding you, but helping you reach your full potential. In the Pure Land, the goal is one: Buddhahood. You will be nurtured by Amitabha Buddha until you become a Buddha. You will never be sick. You will never be tired. You will be protected.
