The Western Pure Land is known as An-Yang (安養). An (安) means peace or safety, and Yang (養) means to nurture. Different names convey different dharmas and messages. While An-Le (安樂) emphasizes peace and bliss, An-Yang emphasizes safety and nurturing.
This concept exists because it is very dangerous here in the Saha World. I’ve heard stories of famous performers in their mid-50s who were perfectly healthy, yet within three months of getting sick, they deteriorated and passed away. That is how scary it is; life can end so quickly. There is very little safety here. In the Pure Land, you will be protected from illnesses; they simply do not exist there.
In An-Yang, "An" is safety, and "Yang" is nurturing. Just as parents or grandparents nurture children until they are strong enough to fend for themselves, Amitabha Buddha nurtures us until we become Buddhas. While you are there, you experience total peace and bliss.
