You do what everyone else is doing. That is what is called cultivating within [[The Great Assembly|the great assembly]]. Cultivation is learning to blend in—to disappear. You do not stand out. Whether you are at a temple or at work, you do the same things as everyone else. You should disappear. Make sure you are not noticed. That means when other people are afflicted, you do not act as though you are better than they are. You do not say, "I'm better than you." That attitude is not helpful—to you, your career, your coworkers, or your family. I truly believe that wherever we go, we should blend in. When you come to the temple, you learn how to blend in there. Then, when you go home, what you have learned at the temple will help you blend in better at home, at work, and wherever you go. Cultivation does not mean that after going to the temple you stand out and think, "Now I'm a spiritual person. I'm better than everyone else." That is not cultivation.
