You are ashamed of having those thoughts of jealousy. When thoughts of jealousy arise and you don’t like them, I want you to cross your legs. Look directly at those jealous thoughts, those negative thoughts, and say, “Get out. I don’t want this.”
That’s all.
Don’t hide it.
Don’t pretend it’s not there.
If you pretend, you will never be able to fix it.
I want you to reject them by crossing your legs and looking at the thought, saying,
“This is not me. I don’t want to be this way.”
If you have time, sit longer.
You will find that the jealous thoughts become lighter.
As you meditate—say you sit for five hours—you’ll find that you feel more peaceful, and these thoughts don’t bother you as much anymore.
