Cultivation is not about looking at others' faults at all. Cultivation in the Mahayana world is to look at your own faults, not at others. You are all smart, so you can easily spot everyone's faults. But that is not what cultivation is about. You are absolutely right when you point out their mistakes. But how does that help you?
If you keep focusing on all those faults, you only become more arrogant and stuck in your ways, instead of correcting your own mistakes and fixing your own problems. Cultivation is not about helping you spot others' problems faster just to criticize them. That is not cultivation.
Cultivation is looking at yourself. Not just looking at yourself, but looking at your own faults. Ask yourself: "Why am I so afflicted?" Foolish people will say, "I am afflicted because she is wrong." No, you are afflicted because you are stupid. If she is wrong, that is her problem. But by getting upset and afflicted about it, you let her mistake become your own stupidity.
