The chanting is an opportunity for you, just for the duration, to discriminate less—just to follow along and stop your discriminations. That's all you have to do. Just recite a Bodhisattva's name. Don't discriminate. Just do it.
If your leg hurts, don't say, "How come my legs hurt?" Because that question implies that you are discriminating, saying, "I don't want my legs to hurt." Is that clear? Just do it. Don't say, "Why is it taking so long? How many days do we have to do this? How long do we have to do this?" What is that? Discrimination.
if you stop discriminating and just do it—just do it—one day, when you do it long enough, you'll be able to open your wisdom. When your mind is trained and conditioned to stop discriminating, your wisdom comes to the fore and is activated.
