Emptiness is something you will experience as you meditate; in fact, it is the very objective of meditation. Simply put, Emptiness refers to the lack of thoughts.
Normally, our heads are full of thoughts. We are slaves to our own thinking, unable to stop. This incessant thinking drains our energy all day long, and the only rest we get is when we sleep. Emptiness is the state where you finally stop thinking. When the mind stops, it is like a locomotive engine coming to rest—it finally has a chance to repair and heal itself.
