Bodhisattvas follow their "Straight Mind." What does it mean to follow a straight mind? It means they do not engage in discriminatory thinking. We, on the other hand, are constantly thinking, calculating, and gauging. A Bodhisattva does not think in this way. When you think too much, your mind becomes "crooked." As Bodhisattvas seek to go deeper into their practice, they start with this straight mind. As you gain depth, you think less and your calculations diminish.
